Tahini sauce is made from Tahini paste, lemon juice, water, salt, and often ground cumin and garlic. The base of the sauce, the Tahini paste is made from toasted ground hulled sesame seeds. Tahini is an unmissable condiment to Falafel but the sauce is also used with Humus or Baba Ganoush.
Tahini is a typical Middle Eastern ingredient that is rich in calcium, protein and fibre, and a great source of iron and magnesium.
